"The Big Four “walking” bridge was originally a railroad bridge crossing the Ohio River between Louisville and Jeffersonville Indiana. It was built in 1895 and discontinued sometime in the 1960’s. It’s name comes from the Big Four Railway, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland and St. Louis.
One of the nicest rehabs was turning it into a walking, cycling bridge in 2014. It’s a nice stroll spanning the waterfront park in Louisville to the Big Four Station in Jeffersonville.
This painting was a commission and hangs in the offices of Accredited Wealth Management. "
